Here is a basic outline of our process:

Pre-Survey meeting and Project walk thru -

On-Site Lighting & Survey personnel will meet with you to discuss the size, intended scope and objective of your project. We will gather and review any existing documentation on your building and review the timing / action plan of the project and discuss any additional lighting design needs you may have.

Project Lighting Survey -

During this phase, On-Site Lighting & Survey personnel will review each room, area and aspect of the project, both interior and exterior. We will note all light fixture types and designs, all lamp and ballast combinations, mounting, wiring, and lighting controls. We will take light meter readings and measurements of the existing lighting conditions. We take power readings on the existing lighting circuits for measurement and verification. We will install occupancy loggers in a representative amount of locations for determining occupancy rates and lighting control design. Finally, we review any project scope requirements and any addition needs requested by the client.

Provide Lighting Survey / Audit and Design Proposal documentation-

At this phase of the audit, we review and assemble all notes, photos, drawings and documentation from site visits and meetings. In our reports to the client, we will list all rooms and areas of the building and include all existing lighting information, fixtures types, lamps and quantities. We calculate light fixture system lumen output and energy consumption, list out all light fixture description, lamp/ballast design and light control design and perform any Photometric studies and/or build various Photometric models. Finally, we write up a Project Design Proposal documents which include Lighting Survey and Audit spreadsheet, Lighting Design summary, System/Proposal Pay-back summaries, Light Fixture schedules, Lamp and Ballast summary, Occupancy Sensor schedule and all necessary equipment cut-sheets and submittals and budgetary costs.

Post Client / Lighting Survey and Design Proposal Review-

After meeting with the client to review proposal documentation we will conduct any further project design review and finalize all project proposals and documentation. We will be available during bidding process for any questions or requests for information.

Construction Phase-

During construction we will assist with any Client / Owner issues, meetings and discussions pertaining to lighting design and scope. We can conduct periodic site review visits, attend project meetings and be available for any questions and or concerns.

Post-Construction Phase-

We will do any post construction commissioning reviews and help with post construction ownership training on new lighting design, controls and maintenance.
